Managing Quicken Data Files
What if I don’t see any data files listed?
First, launch Quicken Classic. The app will detect if you have a Quicken LifeHub subscription and automatically send your data to Quicken LifeHub. Then, sign into Quicken LifeHub and restart the process. Your Quicken data file should now be listed.
If you still don’t see any data files, confirm you’re using the same Quicken ID to sign in to Quicken Classic and Quicken LifeHub. For example, if you’re using myemail@quicken.com to sign in to Quicken Classic, you must use myemail@quicken.com to sign in to Quicken LifeHub as well.
What if I have multiple data files and don’t see the one I want?
First, launch Quicken Classic and then open the data file that contains the data you want to send to Quicken LifeHub. Quicken Classic will detect you have a Quicken LifeHub subscription and automatically send your data to Quicken LifeHub. Then, sign into Quicken LifeHub and restart the process.
Can I connect to two or more Quicken Classic/Simplifi data files?
No. At this time, you can select and connect to one data file. If connecting to multiple data files is important to you, please let us know.
I create a new data file at the start of each year. Do I need to go into Quicken LifeHub and select the new data file each year?

Managing Accounts
Why don’t I see any closed or hidden accounts?
Hidden and closed accounts do not appear in the list of accounts to include as these are not typically useful to an executor or family members.
If you want the opportunity to include them, please let us know. You can also unhide those accounts in Quicken Classic.
Why are my separate accounts included?
In Quicken Classic, separate accounts are excluded from your net worth, reports, and features. By default, information about these accounts is sent to Quicken LifeHub. If you do not want them to be shown to your executor and family members in Quicken LifeHub, unselect your separate accounts during the initial connection process.
Updating Data
How often does Quicken Classic send updates to Quicken LifeHub?
Each time Quicken Classic opens a data file, information about it is automatically sent to Quicken LifeHub. Most people have one data file. In that case, the information is sent each time you launch Quicken Classic.
If I add a new asset, liability, or reminder in Quicken Classic, does it automatically appear in Quicken LifeHub?
Yes.
If I delete an existing asset, liability, or reminder in Quicken Classic, is it automatically deleted in Quicken LifeHub?
Yes.
Note that any additional information or documents that were associated with that item are also automatically deleted. For example, if from within Quicken LifeHub you added a note or uploaded a year-end bank statement, they will also be deleted.
How do I tell Quicken Classic to send updated information to Quicken LifeHub now?
When using Quicken Classic for Windows:
In the top menu bar, select Edit, then Preferences.
In the Preferences dialog, select Startup.
In the Startup actions group, press the Resend button.
When using Quicken Classic for Mac:
In the top menu bar, select Quicken, then Settings….
In the Settings dialog, select the Connected Services tab.
In the Connected Services tab, press the Resend button.
How do I prevent Quicken Classic from sending my account information to Quicken LifeHub?
Connecting to your Quicken Classic data is recommended and optional.
You can follow the instructions provided in the previous answer. If the Send file summary to Quicken LifeHub checkbox is unselected, no data is sent to Quicken LifeHub.
What happens if I let my Quicken LifeHub subscription expire?
Each time you launch Quicken Classic, it checks if you have an active Quicken LifeHub subscription. If your Quicken LifeHub subscription is expired, Quicken Classic will not send any data to Quicken LifeHub. If your subscription is renewed, Quicken Classic will automatically resume sending your data to Quicken LifeHub.
Editing Quicken Classic data in Quicken LifeHub
If I change the value of a field in Quicken LifeHub, will that change be reflected in Quicken Classic?
No. Information flows in only one direction, from Quicken Classic to Quicken LifeHub. For example, if you rename a bank account in Quicken LifeHub, the new name will only appear in Quicken LifeHub. It will not appear in Quicken Classic.
How can I ensure my executor and family members see full account numbers?
Quicken Classic sometimes doesn’t receive account numbers from financial institutions (or only receives masked account numbers, in the form of xxx789).
To ensure complete account numbers appear in Quicken LifeHub, you have two options:
You can enter the complete account number in Quicken’s Account Details dialog. The complete account number will then be sent to Quicken LifeHub.
You can enter the complete account number in the associated Quicken LifeHub account item.
